A calm sanctuary for the parents of two young children. Designed to represent speak to their backgrounds in West Africa and the Mediterranean. The space is airy, light and unfussy and speaks to the ease and simplicity of design from these regions.

Brockley Family Home
A warm and inviting home for a couple with Nigerian and British backgrounds and time living in Switzerland. The diverse cultures were brought to life in the house through the bold and intentional use of colour, pattern and antiques.

Holiday Rental SE London
A one bedroom, basement flat overlooking and inspired by a lush garden turned into an Airbnb called the Botanical Apartment, that is a home away from home. The space was furnished on a modest budget with almost all items being second hand or inexpensive high street pieces.

We believe your home is the most personal space you will ever inhabit. It should reflect who you are, your background, your journey, the cultures that have shaped you, and the way you actually live. That belief is at the heart of everything we do at Chizitera Interiors.
Our clients are often people navigating more than one cultural identity, couples who have lived abroad and want that reflected at home, families with rich and layered backgrounds, people who look around their space and feel it does not represent them. What unites them is a desire for something that could not belong to anyone else.
Our process starts with every client completing a detailed questionnaire exploring their background, their taste, and how they move through their home. We follow that with a home visit, because we believe that good design should reflect property and place as well as people. From that foundation, we design with purpose and confidence. An intentional use of colour that reflects your cultural language. A contemporary use of clean lines alongside a considered use of pattern and materials. Architecture respected, story layered in.
The result is a space that, for our clients, feels like it was always there and always theirs.
We are based in South East London and operate across the capital.

£650
A half-day (4hr) consultation, in person (London)
This service starts with a pre-consultation questionnaire that explores your background and how you live as a basis for the consultation. Using the information you have provided, research is conducted to understand the types of materials, colours, furniture and fixtures that reflect your story.
The package includes a colour consultation, advice on furniture layout, flooring and window treatments, and suggestions on the type of furniture to consider.
You receive a post-consultation write-up, which is a great aid when moving the process forward yourself.

£2000 per room
Including all elements of the basic service as well as measured and detailed floor and electrical plans, defined colour palettes and mood boards for each room and a furniture and fixtures shopping list.

Price on application
Full-scale renovation and design of an existing property or new build. For best results, it is advised to bring on the interior design studio from the start of the journey, working alongside the architect and build team.
